Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
1. Associate Professor (Social Work / Social Sciences):
- A good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in Social Work or allied social science disciplines.
- A Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale).
- A minimum of eight (8) years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of an Assistant Professor in a University, College, or accredited research institution.
- A minimum of seven (7) publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of seventy-five (75) as per UGC norms.
2. Assistant Professor (Ecology & Environment / Sociology):
- A Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in the concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or an accredited foreign university.
- The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar accredited test (SLET/SET).
- Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with UGC Regulations are exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET.

Selection Methodology
- Applications will be screened by a duly constituted Scrutiny Committee based on UGC API benchmarks and research credentials.
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for seminar presentation and personal interview before the Selection Committee at TISS Guwahati or Mumbai campus.
- Final selection will be based strictly on performance in the presentation and interview.
