Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualifications
- Candidates must have passed 12th (+2 Stage) or its equivalent from a recognized Board/Council with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.
- The 50% marks condition is not insisted upon in case of SC / ST / Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) / Ex-Servicemen, and candidates possessing qualifications higher than 12th (+2 Stage) such as Bachelor's Degree.
2. Age Limit & Concessions (as on 01/01/2027)
- General (UR) / EWS: 18 to 30 Years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years Relaxation (up to 33 years)
- SC / ST Candidates: 5 Years Relaxation (up to 35 years)
- PwBD Candidates: 10 Years (UR), 13 Years (OBC), 15 Years (SC/ST)
- Ex-Servicemen: Length of service plus 3 years (up to statutory ceilings)

Selection Process & Examination Pattern
- 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-1) – Common for All: 100 Objective Questions (General Awareness: 40, Mathematics: 30, General Intelligence & Reasoning: 30) of 90 minutes duration. Negative marking: 1/3rd mark deducted per wrong answer. Screening test to shortlist candidates for CBT-2 at a ratio of 1:15.
- 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-2) – Level-wise: 120 Questions (General Awareness: 50, Mathematics: 35, Reasoning: 35) of 90 minutes duration with 1/3rd negative marking.
- Typing Skill Test (TST): Mandatory for Junior Clerk-cum-Typist and Accounts Clerk-cum-Typist. Qualifying speed is 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi on computer without spell check.
- Document Verification (DV) & Medical Examination: Final appointment is subject to clearing visual standards (A-2, B-2, or C-2 as applicable to the post) and credential authentication.
