Eligibility Criteria for Ishan Uday Scholarship
- Domicile Requirement: The applicant must be a permanent resident (domicile) of any of the 8 North Eastern States (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, or Tripura). A valid Domicile / Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued by the competent district authority is mandatory.
- Academic Enrolment: Must have passed Class 12 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent in the current academic year and gained regular, full-time admission into the 1st year of any recognized undergraduate degree course in an eligible Indian University, College, or Institute of National Importance.
- Eligible Institutions: Universities/colleges recognized under Section 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act 1956, Deemed Universities (Section 3), Institutions of National Importance (IITs, NITs, AIIMS, etc.), or statutory council accredited colleges.
- Ineligible Categories: Students pursuing courses through distance learning/correspondence, students admitted through management quota, students already availing another central or state scholarship, or students pursuing diploma courses not leading to a degree.

Note: The scholarship is disbursed directly through DBT on an annual basis for the entire duration of the undergraduate program, subject to regular academic promotion and satisfactory attendance.

- Annual Family Income Certificate issued by Revenue Authority (Circle Officer / DC / SDO) certifying income below Rs. 4.50 Lakh.

- Admission Fee Receipt / College Verification Bonafide Certificate showing admission in 1st year UG.
- Active Aadhaar Card and Aadhaar-seeded Bank Account Passbook.
