Eligibility Criteria
1. Essential Qualifications
- Candidates must hold an MBBS degree recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) with a valid registration under the Assam Medical Council (AMC) or any State Medical Council.
- Senior Resident positions require an MD / MS / DNB / Diploma in the concerned specialty from a recognized Medical College / Teaching Institution.
- Candidates who have completed their qualifying Postgraduate Degree within the last 5 years are preferred (subject to ESIC guidelines for fresh postings).
2. Age Limit (as on date of interview)
- Maximum age: 45 years.
- Statutory relaxations in upper age limit:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years (further category relaxation as per rules)
3. Terms of Engagement
- The appointment is purely on contract basis for an initial period of 3 years, extendable on satisfactory performance subject to compliance with NMC / ESIC norms.
- Selected Senior Residents must register with the Assam Medical Council (AMC) before joining.
- Doctors enrolled in residency (DNB / MCh / DM) or any other clinical training program are not eligible to apply.
