10+2 / Class 12 / Higher Secondary or equivalent from a recognized Board/University and proficiency in computer typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi. |

10+2 / Class 12 passed or equivalent with a speed of 80 words per minute in shorthand in English or Hindi, and transcription on computer as per standard norms. |
| Junior Hindi Translator |
Master's Degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level (OR Master's Degree in English with Hindi as compulsory/elective subject) PLUS recognized Diploma/Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or 2 years' translation experience in Central/State Govt. offices. |
Age Limit & Relaxations
The crucial date for determining the age limit is 28th September 2026. Standard upper age relaxations are applicable as per Government of India guidelines:
- SC / ST Candidates: 5 Years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 Years (UR), 13 Years (OBC), 15 Years (SC/ST)
- Ex-Servicemen & CSIR Regular Employees: As per Govt. rules
Application Fee
- General / OBC / EWS Candidates: Rs. 100/-
- SC / ST / PwBD / Women / CSIR Employees / Ex-Servicemen: Nil (Exempted from fee payment)
- Mode of Payment: Online via SBI Collect / net banking / debit or credit card.
Selection Procedure
- For JSA Posts: Written Examination (Paper-I: Mental Ability Test, Paper-II: General Awareness & English Language) followed by a qualifying Computer Typing Test.
- For Junior Stenographer: Competitive Written Test and qualifying Shorthand / Typing Skill Test.
- For Junior Hindi Translator: Competitive Written Examination comprising Translation and Language Proficiency papers.
