Eligibility Criteria for Assam ANM Admission
1. Nationality & Domicile Requirement
- Indian Citizenship: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Assam Domicile: The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam and must furnish a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued by the competent authority.
2. Gender
- As per nursing council and state government directives, only female candidates are eligible to apply for ANM training.
3. Age Limit & Relaxations (as on 31.12.2026)
- Minimum Age: 17 Years as on 31st December 2026.
- Maximum Age: 35 Years as on 31st December 2026.
- Age Relaxation for Health Workers: The upper age limit is relaxed from 35 to 42 years for serving Anganwadi Workers, ASHA Workers, and Trained Dais.
4. Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/Council (Arts, Science, Commerce, or Vocational streams).
