Eligibility Criteria
1. Social Development Officer
- Educational Qualification:
- Master’s/Post Graduate Degree in Social Sciences such as Social Work, Sociology, or Anthropology.
- Experience:
- 7–8 years in social development, including Social Impact Assessments (SIA), land acquisition, resettlement, stakeholder consultations, and preparation of action plans.
- Experience in externally aided projects like ADB, World Bank, or JICA is preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in data management and reporting using computers.
- Fluency in English, Assamese, and Hindi.
- Age Limit: Less than 62 years.
2. Field Supervisor
- Educational Qualification:
- Post Graduate Degree in Social Sciences (55% marks) such as Sociology, Social Work, Development Studies, or Public Administration.
- Experience:
- At least 3 years in census surveys, coordinating training programs, and public meetings.
- Knowledge of land acquisition procedures is desirable.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in English and Assamese.
- Age Limit: 25–45 years as of the first day of the advertisement year.
Responsibilities
Social Development Officer
- Oversee preparation of key documents such as Social Impact Assessments, Resettlement Action Plans, and Indigenous People Development Plans.
- Coordinate stakeholder consultations and socio-economic surveys.
- Facilitate land acquisition processes and grievance redressal mechanisms.
- Prepare periodic reports and monitor compliance with social mitigation plans.
Field Supervisor
- Assist WRD divisions in land acquisition and R&R activities.
- Conduct public consultations with project-affected people.
- Submit weekly reports on social and environmental activities.
- Provide field support to Environment and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) agencies.
Selection Process
Selection for both positions will be through an interview. Candidates are required to bring original documents along with self-attested copies.
