Eligibility Criteria for DSE Assam PGT Recruitment

Educational Qualifications
- Academic: Candidates must hold a Post Graduate degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks from a recognized university.
- Professional: Candidates must have a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from an institution approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
- Additional Requirements: Degrees obtained through off-campus or distance education will not be considered valid.
Additional Requirements
- Small Family Norms: As per government policy, candidates with more than two living children born on or after 1st January 2021 are ineligible.
- Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must be registered with an Employment Exchange.
- Teachers Eligibility Test cum Recruitment Test: Candidates must appear and pass this test, details of which will be announced.
Medium of Instruction Criteria
Applicants must meet the language requirements for the medium of instruction for the school to which they are applying.

Exam Centers
Exams will be held in Cachar, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Kamrup, Kamrup Metro, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Nalbari, and Sonitpur. Candidates will choose their preferred exam center during application.
Merit List and Selection
- A single merit list will be prepared for each subject based on TET cum Recruitment Test scores.
- If any positions remain vacant after the initial merit list, two additional merit lists may be published as needed.
- A 1:1 ratio will be maintained between qualified candidates and advertised vacancies.
