Essential Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements:

Option Qualification
A Master's Degree in Computer Application, Computer Science, or related field; or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology in a relevant field
B Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field + 2 years of experience in programming
C Diploma in Computer Application + 3 years of experience in programming

Desirable Skills: Proficiency in C, C++, Oracle, and UNIX/Windows systems.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

Assistant Programmers will perform the following tasks:

  • Data Management: Collection, collation, and processing of information.
  • Programming Support: Providing analytical and programming assistance.
  • Training: Conducting data entry training for CBI staff and ensuring efficient system use.

 

Selection Process

The selection will include a Written Test or Recruitment Test (RT) and an Interview for shortlisted candidates. Document verification will occur at the interview stage.

Important Guidelines for Application

  1. Citizenship Requirements: Only Indian citizens and select other categories (Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugees) may apply. Non-citizens must present a government-issued eligibility certificate.
