The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division – II, formerly known as AHSEC, has launched the Darpan Portal for smooth and transparent online admission into Higher Secondary (HS) 1st Year courses. Students who have cleared the HSLC (Class 10) exam in 2025 can now apply online for admission into BA, BSc, and BCom streams for the academic session 2025–2026.
The online admission process of Assam HS 1st Year Online Admission 2025 will begin from 17th April 2025. Eligible students can apply to a maximum of 5 institutions through this portal.

How to Apply for HS 1st Year Online Admission 2025?
Follow these steps to apply online for Assam HS 1st Year Admission via the Darpan Portal:
- Scroll to the Important Web Links section below.
- Click on the “HS 1st Year Online Admission” link.
- Register a new account with personal and academic details.
- Upload photo and HSLC marksheet.
- Choose a 4-digit login PIN and click “Register”.
- Log in again using your credentials.
- Select your preferred course and choose up to 5 institutions.
- Submit the application and take a printout for reference.
- Keep checking the portal for merit list and admission status.
For Institutions (Schools & Colleges)
All registered institutions must update their profile using their login credentials. Newly approved institutions must register using the token number sent via SMS. Valid UDISE code (for schools) and AISHE codes (for degree colleges) are mandatory for registration.
