Selection Process
The selection for Computer Assistant includes three stages, detailed below:

- 30 marks, minimum 60% (18 out of 30) required to qualify
- Candidates called in 1:5 ratio based on Written Exam results |
| Viva Voce/Interview |
- 20 marks, minimum 60% (12 out of 20) required to qualify
- Candidates called in 1:3 ratio based on combined marks in Written Exam and Skill Test |
Note: Final selection is based on cumulative marks from all stages. In case of a tie, preference is given by stage marks and age seniority if required.

The application process involves four phases on the Gauhati High Court’s official website.

Complete profile details, ensuring all fields are filled. |
| Phase 3: Upload Documents |
Upload a photo (354x276 pixels, 80% face coverage) and signature (118x276 pixels, 70% space coverage) in .jpg, .png, or .gif format, 5-30 KB in size. |
| Phase 4: Submission |
Review and submit application, generate fee payment challan. Payment must be completed at SBI branches, and a receipt should be printed once acknowledged by the system. |
Post-Application Submission
After fee payment, details such as Journal Number, Paid Amount, and Payment Date will automatically update on the candidate’s account within two business days. Candidates can then print the Acknowledgement Receipt for future reference.

Terms and Conditions
- Marriage Clause: Candidates must not have married while their spouse is living unless separated under law.
- Government Employees: Those in government service must apply with a No Objection Certificate and a release order upon joining.
- Document Verification: Original documents, such as educational and computer qualifications, date of birth, caste, and experience certificates, must be presented at later stages.
- Provisional Admission: Admission through all stages is provisional and contingent upon eligibility.
- Application Accuracy: Candidates are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of submitted information; errors or false statements may lead to disqualification and legal action.
- Anti-Canvassing: Any direct or indirect canvassing will result in disqualification.
- Incomplete Applications: Applications without required documents, photographs, or signatures will be summarily rejected.
- No TA/DA: No travel or accommodation allowance will be provided for appearing in any part of the selection process (written test, skill test, interview).
- Exam Material Retention: The High Court will retain examination materials for a year after the final selection list is published.
