Training Period & Compensation Package
- Training Period: Candidates selected as Agriculture Graduate Trainees will undergo one year of intensive training in agriculture extension, soil testing, nano-fertilizers, and commercial marketing.
- Monthly Stipend: During the 1-year training period, candidates will receive a consolidated monthly stipend of Rs. 33,300/- per month.
- Absorption & Regular Salary: On successful completion of one year's training and subject to organizational requirements, AGTs will be absorbed into regular employment with a starting Basic Pay of Rs. 37,000/- per month in the regular Pay Scale of Rs. 37,000 – 70,000/- along with industrial DA, HRA, performance incentives, medical coverage, provident fund, and gratuity.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualifications
- Must possess a 4-year B.Sc. (Agriculture) full-time regular degree from an ICAR/UGC-recognized University or Institute.
- Minimum Marks:
- General / OBC candidates: Minimum 60% aggregate marks across all semesters.
- SC / ST candidates: Minimum 55% aggregate marks across all semesters.
- Candidates evaluated under CGPA/OGPA must convert their score into equivalent percentage as per their University's conversion formula.
2. Age Limit & Concessions (as on 01/09/2026)
- Upper Age Ceiling: 30 years as on 1st September 2026.
- SC / ST Candidates: 5 Years Relaxation (up to 35 years).
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years Relaxation (up to 33 years).
3. Regional Language Proficiency
Candidates must possess fluent reading, writing, and speaking proficiency in the regional language of the State where they seek posting. Additional knowledge of Hindi or English is desirable.
Selection Process
- Preliminary Online Remote Proctored Test: Eligible candidates will take an online computer-based screening test from their home/desktop evaluating Agriculture Knowledge, Analytical Ability, and General Awareness.
- Final Online Proctored Test: Shortlisted candidates from the preliminary round will appear for the final online examination at designated test centers.
- Personal Interview: Candidates qualifying in the final written test will be called for a personal interview before the IFFCO selection board.
- Medical Examination: Final selection is contingent upon medical fitness clearance in accordance with IFFCO medical standards.
