Preliminary Examination Scheme & Pattern
The IBPS Clerk Preliminary Examination consists of an objective test of 100 marks conducted online through Computer Based Testing (CBT):

Note: There will be negative marking for wrong answers. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 (one-fourth) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted. Candidates must qualify in each of the three tests by securing minimum cut-off marks decided by IBPS.

Mandatory Documents to Carry on Exam Day
- Printed Call Letter: Clear hard copy of the IBPS CRP CSA XVI Preliminary Admit Card with an affixed recent passport-sized photograph (identical to the one uploaded during registration).
- Original Photo Identity Proof: Valid PAN Card, Passport, Permanent Driving License, Voter’s Card, Bank Passbook with photograph, or Aadhaar Card with photo.
- Photocopy of ID Proof: A self-attested photocopy of the same photo ID proof to be submitted to the invigilator.
- Additional Photographs: Two additional passport-size photographs for attendance authentication.
- Ballpoint pen and required stationery.
